The Sea to Sky School District would like to wish a Happy Ramadan to those who observe it. Ramadan 2024 starts on Monday, March 11, and ends on Tuesday, April 9, subject to the moon sighting. It is a month of fasting, worship, charity, reflection, and social bonding for Muslims worldwide. The conclusion of Ramadan is marked with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, we come together to celebrate Pink Shirt Day—a day that stands for kindness, inclusion, and standing up against bullying. As members of our school community, we can make a difference every day by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding. Let’s wear our pink shirts with pride, symbolizing our commitment to creating safe, welcoming, and caring environments for all. March 8th is International Women's Day, and the theme for this year is #inspireinclusion. On this day, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women not just in our school district but across the globe. However, we also acknowledge that many women still face challenges and barriers in their education, work, and personal lives. As a school district, we are committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for all our students, staff, and community members. We express our gratitude to all the women who inspire us with their courage, creativity, and leadership. Happy International Women's Day!
