Pemberton Secondary School is located approximately 35 km North of Whistler. Our school has approximately 300 students, 21 teaching staff, and 11 support staff. Approximately 45% of our students are from the Lil’wat, Nquatqua, Samahquam, Skatin, and Xaxtsa nations. Many of our students travel by bus from distant areas including D’Arcy, Pemberton Valley, and the Upper Lakes area.

PSS has an array of program offerings to meet the individual needs of our students. Some of our programs include academic, online, vocational, adult, Outdoor Adventure Leadership,  Lifeskills, and sports. As well, Pemberton Secondary School has wireless internet connectivity and a student-to-computer ratio of 2:1.

Our sports teams include soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Frequently PSS is represented at Provincial tournaments. Many students also compete in individual sports including luge, alpine skiing, downhill skiing, dragon boating, and cross-country running. Each year our sports program continues as a result of the endless volunteer hours from staff and community members, and from the desire of our players to excel in these sports.
